A bit about me: I'm Indi! I'm a recent alumnus of the Fine Art Graduate program here at UAF. I love making unique things that add personality to a space. My media includes carving , clay sculpture, silicone molding, resin casting, drawing, and painting 3-dimensional objects. I have also recently picked up 3-D modeling and 3-D printing. I have one absolutely spoiled dog and two ferrets. I graduated with my BFA in sculpture from Creighton University (NE) in 2017 and my MFA in Sculpture and Native Arts from the University of Alaska Fairbanks in 2020.

Description: For this in-person class, we will use paper clay to create functional and decorative objects. We will explore the many possibilities that are possible with this wonderful sculpting material, such as sculpting animals, furniture, decorations, bowls, and more! Paper clay dries hard but is very lightweight. It does not need to be fired in a kiln, and it can even be made at home. Join us in this great introduction to clay sculpture and hand-building.
