Rock Climbing

Grades: 6 - 12

Dates: January 26 - March 2 (waitlist only)

Meeting Times: Mondays, 3 pm - 4 pm

Location: UAF SRC, 1910 Tanana Loop, UAF Campus

Cost: $195

Description: The goal of this course is to give students the opportunity learn and develop climbing skills, teamwork, and self confidence through fun rock climbing games and activities. All experience levels are welcome!

Instructor: Helen Willard

A bit about your instructor: Helen was raised on rocks in Colorado, spending any free moment climbing or collecting them. With nearly 18 years of climbing experience and a PCIA-L certification, she’s ready for any challenge that climbing presents. Helen loves teaching and is excited to share her passion for climbing with every student she meets.

Instructor: Christian Mogensen

A bit about your instructor: I grew up in Denmark and love spending time in the mountains. As Assistant Coordinator for Climbing Programs at UAF Outdoor Adventures, I enjoy teaching Beginning and Intermediate Rock Climbing as well as Intro to Ice Climbing.
