Description: Sword fights, laughter, and a little drama, Shakespeare has it all! In this week-long camp, students will explore acting, vocal projection, and stage combat while diving into some of the Bard’s most famous scenes. Through creative exercises and team-based rehearsals, campers will discover how timeless these stories still are today. The week ends with a spirited performance for friends and family.

Instructor: Flyn Ludington
A bit about your instructor: Flyn Ludington is an adjunct professor of Theater, Film, and Music at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Film and Performing Arts from UAF (2024) and studied musical theater at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (2001) in New York City.Her professional acting career began at 13 years old, and, except for a few years working as a deckhand on a commercial fishing boat out of Sitka, Alaska, she has been working and playing in the performing arts ever since. Flyn is currently directing the Fairbanks Peace Choir for her tenth year, and directed Fairbanks Shakespeare Theatre’s production of As You Like It, and STRIKE! at Theatre UAF.
Instructor: Jivan Gordon-Wolfe
A bit about your instructor: Jivan Gordon-Wolfe is active in our local theater community, having appeared in productions with FLOT, FDA, and FST. He has also worked as an assistant teacher in summer camps with both FST and FDA. When not performing in a production, he spends his time training and teaching martial arts, where he has achieved the rank of 4th Degree Black Belt in TKD. He also works on and assists with training actors in the art and skill of stage fighting.
